Sri Ramesh Jain conceived the idea of Jain Udyog in the year 1994 with the vision of providing citizens with the best quality cars and car-buying experience. Jain Udyog started its operations under his leadership in the year 1996. It started with an average sale of 6 vehicles per month. It was the first showroom that made Maruti Suzuki cars available in Tripura. Jain Udyog grew with launch of Bodyshops, e-outlets, and Commercial dealerships over the years. NEXA Silchar was launched in the 2018-19 cycle.

With two main outlets, four e-outlets, four R-outlets, three Bodyshops, seven workshops, two Commercial outlets, one NEXA Sales Outlet, and two True Value outlets, Jain Udyog became the company with the largest market share (sale units) in its territory in August 2018-19. It is also the direct livelihood provider to over 800 families.
